How to Reach:

Reach Lonavla. From here take the Amby valley road and just 2 kms before amby valley, take a detour to Peth Shahpur. The trek starts from the temple at this base village.

Description:

This is a perfect trek for beginners. The path is well defined thanks to the old steps leading to the top of the fort. This route should reach you to the top in about 45 mins to 1 hour.

The top of the fort has a huge plateau and there are 2 large ponds.  There is also one temple of Koraidevi. The walls of the fort are completely intact. One can walk on top of them to get an aerial view of the mountains and the nearby forts of Lohagad, Visapur, Tikona, Tung etc.

The fort has about 5-6 cannons.

This fort also offers a spectacular view of the ultra modern city of Amby Valley from 3 sides.

Throughout the year.

No.

Essentials:

Carry whatever essentials which normally trekkers carry on every trek. Nothing specific.

Trekkers are just advised to carry ample water and food.
